GENESIS GV70 2025 VISIBILITY/WIPER
highThis happened in an Enterprise rental car. Now I will be fighting against loss of rental and rental damages to car my insurance company provided because of a claim on my personal vehicle. I was driving northbound 270 merging onto westbound 64 in St. Louis, Mo, when the back windshield spontaneously exploded. I thought it was a gunshot, checked my body for damage; none found. Looked in my rear view mirror and saw the entire back windshield was completely cracked.

high1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Driver assist systems, including lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance/braking system, and related exterior sensor systems, are malfunctioning. The lane assist system has taken unintended control of steering, and the braking system has activated without cause. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has exhibited unintended braking and steering intervention during normal driving conditions. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Genesis dealership service department. Genesis Consumer Affairs has been notified and is aware of the reported issues. No other third-party inspections have been performed at this time. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There have been intermittent warning messages & dashboard indicator lights related to driver assist and system functionality.
