CHRYSLER PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID 2024 ENGINE

A Concerning Safety Issue with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Last week, I experienced a serious safety incident with my newly purchased Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid that I feel compelled to share. Just a mile from my home, my vehicle's dashboard displayed an alarming message: "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon." Within moments, the van lost power and the steering wheel locked - fortunately while I was already stopping at a stop sign. The vehicle became completely unresponsive. After researching online, I found this was a known issue requiring a specific reset procedure: exiting the vehicle, multiple attempts with the start/stop button, and then restarting. While this eventually worked, both the Check Engine and battery warning lights remained illuminated during my careful drive home. My attempts to get assistance through Chrysler Assist were unsuccessful, with their only recommendation being to visit a dealer. At the dealership, they identified three diagnostic codes: B1945-13 B10EB-00 P0A78-00 While they performed a recall-related firmware update, the underlying concern remains: What if this failure had occurred on a freeway, in adverse weather conditions, or with my family aboard? More concerning is the discovery that this isn't an isolated incident. Similar reports are appearing across owner forums and social media, suggesting this is a widespread issue affecting Chrysler's hybrid vehicles. Despite apparent awareness of the problem, Chrysler has yet to implement a comprehensive fix. As a new hybrid vehicle owner, this experience raises serious questions about vehicle safety and manufacturer responsibility. While the automotive industry pushes toward electrification, ensuring basic safety and reliability should remain paramount.

I was driving at a speed of about 60 KM per hour .(The vehicle is just 8000 km on it.) The vehicle suddenly gave some sort of warning and engine shut down on the road.,and vehicle stalled in the centre of the road causing a serious safety issue for my baby and toddler in the vehicle. Luckily a tow truck was behind us who gave us some protection by stopping behind us. I turned on and off and after 10,15 minutes the vehicle started again. I am really nervous to drive this vehicle after this incident especially with my kids with me . Please advise. Thank you.

Just bought the car from Bill Luke dealership and was driving it home. Within 15 miles of driving it from the dealership while on the highway the engine just stalled and quit on us. We managed to somehow pull to the side of the road. It was scary to dodge the cars behind us. The car just came back from Chrysler dealership after it needed a idcm to be replaced.

We picked up a new 2024 Pacifica Hybrid Pinaccle with 85 mile on it on the evening of [XXX]. During rush hour on [XXX] in Atlanta on [XXX], the vehicle alerted "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off In < 2 Minutes". This caused the driver (my wife) to panic as this is Atlanta rush hour. Thankfully she made it to the shoulder from the far left lane before the vehicle shut down - thanks to some friendly drivers who acknowledged her sudden use of hazard flashers and loss of speed. She was able to restart the vehicle after a delay and get it off the interstate. This could have caused a major accident. During her 3.5 mile drive after she was able to get off of [XXX] in downtown Atlanta, the vehicle alerted and shut down another 3 times. When she finally got it home, it had 160 miles (total) on it. The dealer service department would not pick it up and advised we had to call Chrysler roadside assistance to come get it as we did not feel it was safe to drive to the the dealership. We were forced to pay $82.50 to have this towed as it exceeded the 4 mile radius Chrysler roadside assistance is authorized to tow a vehicle. Our dealer is the closest one to our house... The vehicle is displaying a code of P0A78. The vehicle is set to be towed to the dealer tomorrow for evaluation. I have photos documenting the warning message and error codes if needed.
