Front windshield cracking.

I own a 2024 Honda HR-V. The vehicle developed a steering problem where the steering wheel becomes unusually stiff and difficult to control. Honda issued NHTSA Recall 24V-744 for defective steering gearbox components affecting 2023-2025 Honda HR-V vehicles. My vehicle was manufactured during the same production period referenced in the recall. However, my VIN is not included in the recall even though the symptoms match the defect described by Honda. A Honda dealership inspected the vehicle and indicated the steering system requires repair estimated at approximately $4,000. Because the defect matches the steering gearbox issue described in Recall 24V-744, I believe my vehicle may have the same safety defect but was excluded from the recall. This creates a potential safety risk because steering control can be affected while driving.

On several occasions the automatic brights have turned on when there were cars at crossroads, and when cars were within sight. The regular lights of the car are repeatedly interfering with visibility of other drivers, as the lights are much too bright and angled right in other driver's eyes. We avoid driving at night due to blinding other vehicles and preventing crashes. We are flashed constantly. The automatic braking has turned on when there were no objects, pedestrians, or cars in front of the vehicle - nearly causing us to get rear-ended by the vehicle behind us. The brakes because sticky after only 16 months of use. The steering is sticky as well.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2024 Honda HR-V Sport (VIN: [XXX] , mileage: 45,000). The driver’s seat lowers unexpectedly while driving. This happens without warning and creates a serious safety hazard, especially when operating the vehicle on highways. I commute daily in New Jersey (Elizabeth to Union City, approx. 40 minutes on highways), and this defect places me and other drivers at risk. Despite multiple visits to Honda of Route 22 and Honda Service Center (Hillside, NJ), Honda has refused to repair or replace the defective seat under warranty. A technician even admitted this is a known issue with this model. Honda has denied coverage and left me driving a dangerous vehicle. Vehicle was parked in the driveway and the rear passenger side window exploded. No projectiles, no prior damage. Windows were all rolled up, vehicle was locked. Weather was a high of 92 and the vehicle was partly shaded.
