The contact owns a 2023 BMW 430i. The contact received notice of NHTSA Campaign Number:Â 26V056000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that that on several occasions when starting the vehicle there was a hesitation while starting the vehicle. The contact added that the hesitation while starting the vehicle using the key fob was more prevalent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.

We were driving the vehicle on a vacation, and am error came on that the gear was malfunction and parking will disable vehicle.  At this fine, we kept trying to clear the message to be able to view navigation, and error message kept coming back making it impossible to drive.  We then parked the vehicle and had vehicle towed. Tow could not put car in neutral,  and had to physically pull vehicle on to flatbed. Service advisor said water from cup holder area got into the controller.
